Sydney Chinese Garden

Garden of Friendship, 誼園 Yi Yuan, is in Darling Harbour,  and built to symbolise the friendship between Sydney and Guangzhou.
It is in Ming style, and has also the usual Chinese garden features – a lotus pond and a place renting historic fancy-dress.

I can’t get enough of moon-gates!

The Dragon Wall is a gift from the government of Guangdong, with a blue dragon representing New South Wales and a brown dragon representing Guangdong, both  in search of the pearl of wisdom.

I love this traditional-style  painting of the garden.
