Zhang Zhao (Tang dynasty) was an early finger-painter.  Gao Qipei (Qing dynasty) specialised in finger painting.  If you can’t get to the Laoning Museum,  Minneapolis Institute of Art or the Walters Art Museum (Baltimore) the Ashmolean has this wonderful handscroll.
