Found this seal carver in Hongcun – friendly service and good value!  He is in a street south-east of the Moon Pond.   His sign says 陋室阁,  which means the humble room, and is  a reference to the narrative poem Loushi Ming by the Tang poet Liu Yuxi.

As four of us wanted seals, he asked us to come back next morning.  They were all ready for us, very clear & well-carved.  Be sure to get your seals distressed: the battered antique look is more artistic for use on paintings!
