Went to see Mind-Scape V, modern Chinese paintings at the 3812 Gallery (on until 17 August 2019). There are are 2 or 3 works by each of 8 artists. Many are seemingly abstract, but with landcsape or figures emerging as you look.
I particularly liked the collages by Xue Song – the fragments are of ancient Chinese art, grouped according to the substance represented. For example, the sky in the one above is calligraphy characters. If you were a scholar you could recognise the source. This forms an interesting comparison to the bapo paintings which look like collages.
